Toronto problem, Toronto solution

No Room for a Second Set of Tires? That’s What We’re For.

Living in a condo or a semi with no garage is the number one reason Toronto drivers skip winter tires. We wash your off-season set, bag it, tag it with your plate, and keep it in a dry climate-controlled facility until you need it.

Book your changeover and your tires are already in the bay when you arrive.

$99 per season for a set of four

Racked seasonal tires bagged and labelled in a storage facility

Here’s Exactly How a Visit Goes

1

You book a slot

Online or by phone. Your confirmation includes the price range for what you asked for.

2

We write it down

Before anything is touched you get a written estimate. If we find something else, we call you — we don’t decide for you.

3

We do the work

Most jobs 45 to 75 minutes. Wait in the lounge or drop the car off.

4

You get the numbers

Tread depths, torque spec, what we found. Your old parts come back to you on request.

5

Come back at 100 km

We re-check every wheel nut. No appointment, no charge.

Under Ontario’s Consumer Protection Act, 2002 you’re entitled to a written estimate, a bill no more than 10% above it, and your replaced parts back on request. We’d do it anyway.

Why People Drive Past Three Shops to Get Here

Road-force balancing, not just spin balancing

It catches vibration a standard balance misses — the difference you feel at 100 km/h on the 401.

We check your TPMS before you leave

Toronto road salt corrodes sensors. We test all four so you don’t get a dashboard light two days later.

Free 100 km re-torque

Come back after a week and we re-check every nut. No appointment, no charge, no upsell attached.

We tell you when you don’t need it

If two tires will do, we’ll sell you two. If your tire can’t be repaired safely, we’ll say so instead of patching it to get you out the door.

Common Questions

Do I really need winter tires in Toronto?

They’re not required by law in Ontario the way they are in Quebec. But below about 7 °C all-season rubber hardens and stopping distances grow — on dry pavement, before a single flake falls. Every insurer in Ontario is required to offer a discount for four winter tires carrying the three-peak mountain snowflake symbol, so the tires partly pay for themselves.

When should I book my winter changeover?

Most insurers want them on by November 1. Practically, book in the first half of October — by the first snowfall every shop in the city is a week out.

How long does a changeover take?

About 45 minutes for a set on rims, 60 to 75 minutes if we have to unmount and remount tires on the same wheels.

Can you repair a nail in my tire, or do I need a new one?

If the puncture is in the tread area and under 6 mm, yes — we do a proper patch-plug from inside. Sidewall or shoulder damage can’t be repaired safely, and we’ll tell you straight rather than sell you a fix that won’t hold.

Do you store tires over the summer too?

Yes. Same price, same facility. A lot of customers keep both sets with us year-round and just show up twice a year.

Do you take walk-ins?

Yes, for flat repairs and quick checks. For changeovers and alignments during October to December, book online — walk-in waits get long.

What does it cost to get rid of my old tires?

$5 per tire. Ontario no longer has a fixed government eco-fee, so this is our actual recycling cost — and we show it on the invoice rather than burying it in a “shop supplies” line.
